"For a person who was formula fed as an infant and only has an IQ of 100, those 5 or 8 or 10 extra points could literally be the catalyst for an entirely different life.  It could literally change that person's educational opportunities (high school drop out or graduate?) and career choices (menial-minimum wage labour or lucrative self-employment?) and could have changed the entire course of their life."

A nurse in one of Marsha Walker's formula hazards sessions years ago said exactly that.  She said she *isn't* one of the bright people among us, and she can *feel* the deficiency.  She said those few extra points could have meant a lot to her in terms of income and just plain ease of living.  It was a poignant, impressive admission by a very strong woman.
