If she is still hanging in there tomorrow and feeling even a little bit better,
these suggestions really may help. I'm now thinking her breasts have been
"plugging up" from the get-go. I had to really limit how much I went into Friday
and yesterday because she had really reached her limit of being able to take in
info. Lecithin was another thing I wanted to mention, but her head was already
swimming from strategies and other BF-related issues.

Neither baby yet latches without the shield -- they're just really getting it
with the bottle teat, especially her little boy. (You can imagine how happy I
was when both did even this!) Don't think she's up for DH's "help" right now!

We've talked about herbal galactogogues, but she hasn't gone there yet. She did
get more milk out of the right side yesterday -- closer to what she gets from
the left -- with the pre-pump warm compress and "scraping" the bleb (several
times per pumping as it seals over). I think she'll be more amenable if she's
feeling more hopeful that plugs may be related to low volumes obtained.

Her doc is willing to prescribe oxytocin nasal spray, but by the time I tracked
down compounding pharmacists yesterday, things had closed for the weekend. Good news is that she did seem to have a little spray on the right side with those
better pumpings -- still took longer than expected but better than before.
Haven't talked to her today yet, so I'm not sure if progress has continued. (I'm
almost afraid to call!) From feedback she gives, I think she's more willing to
go for the med than herbs... at least for right now.

Thanks for your help. I'll definitely pass the ideas along -- easy to implement
which helps a lot. I feel real DUH for not thinking of the BF Atlas...
