Can anyone help me out here? I think this was once described and I am having trouble getting the info from the archives.

A mom on second birth told me that her 10 week old stools only once in 10-14 days. He is gaining weight at the very high end of normal, and otherwise nurses beautifully. The mother says that when he does make after all that time, it is totally foul smelling- she described it as absolutely disgusting and not as liquidy as a normal BF texture. She also said it is more of a greenish color. This is obviously totally different that what happened with her first child, who made often yellow sweet smelling BF diapers.
His behavior, development weight gain and sleep patterns are all normal, so she is not that concerned, but he is much more fussy for about 1-2 days before he finally makes the BM, and for about a week before he has very foul smelling gas many times a day.

Anyone can shed light or offer some suggestions?

Thanks,
Jessica Billowitz, IBCLC
