Hi Ladies,

I always thought my 6 babies' unbathed, smelled great and sweet, amniotic 
fluid and all!  They were slightly dried off however and that's all.  I wonder if 
the little bit of drying that the nurses want to do(I was a nurse one time) 
would actually hurt or not.  Me and mine nursed great for 2 plus years and I 
never thought they were dirty at all.  I wonder why the babies that are not 
allowed to cry and "expand their lungs" do so well, if the nurses and docs (for 
that matter) think they need it so much?  My point is that the traditions in the 
hospitals that are so resistant to change are not based on much in the 
research studies and if we all tried to let change happen, we'd see that 
everything would be okay if not better!!                                                    

On another note, Jennifer Tow where did you learn all that you know about 
natural remedies and allergie remedies(especially those having to do with 
probiotics and babies and moms bellies, intestinal issues?  i'd love to read it ad 
learn more so I can help the moms that I work with on the LLL helpline.  Not 
to mention that I'm studying for the IBCLC exam for next year and need the 
info!
