Joylyn, I am so glad that you talked to Kevin at FAO.  I e-mailed them
today.  I stated that I had an acquaintance that had visited with their
"nurse" and the nurse had mentioned that she would not allow nursing mothers
to use her comfortable chairs to BRF their babies that she asked them to use
the restroom for that purpose.  I said that you asked her if she ate her
meals in the bathroom!

 

I stated that obviously their "nurse" was not aware of the NY legislation
re: breastfeeding in public, but I was relatively sure that there legal
department could bring her up to speed. I did mention that you had shared
this with a great many of your friends and that I hoped that they would not
be deluged by overwhelming numbers of letters, e-mails or calls.  I also
mentioned the possibility of mom's & babies coming to visit at mealtime and
that I hoped that they would be treated with respect and would be offered a
comfortable place to nurse far away from the bathroom stall.
