I sent Miriam my cabbage posts saved from Lactnet.

My daughter had her wisdom teeth extracted & we opted for only the local
block. As I wrote a long diatribe against IV sedation, I realized the
similarity to epidurals for L & D. The oral surgeon really wanted to
give the IV sedation but without it my daughter was in & out very
quickly. She was able to quickly begin cold application. Her recovery
was speedy compared to her many friends who were "put out". The oral
surgeon was surprised at how cooperative she was.

I have been doing craniosacral on babies who have had a rough birth
because of mom's epidural. She was saved "pain" in L & D. Yesterday I
saw two moms in so much pain. The pain for mom & baby & the bf problems
are so much more than for moms who skip the epidural.
