Eight years ago I had a Pituitary adneoma removed, I also was diagnosed
with Chushings Syndrome. I had nursed my youngest for about 3 years and
continued to leak for eight to ten years after he weaned. All tests, done
at least 3 to 4 times, showed normal prolactin levels. It wasn't until
the effects of the Cushings became evident: panic attacks, anxiety,
depression, unstable thyroid levels, weight gain, night sweats, hot
flashes, insomnia, osteoporosis, tachycardia and continued leaking, did
the docs look outside the box. The Cushings was a waxing and waining
situation so it was difficult to pinpoint. Once the tumor was removed
...no more leaking. Just one senario....Happy Thanksgiving to all.
