I am sending this request to LCs and professionals that are or have already
developed breastfeeding competancies for hospital staff.  My facility is
trying to develop hospital policies and standards regarding breastfeeding
practices.  I am looking for competancies that have been developed that I
could look at.  I've been an IBCLC for almost 5 years but an RN for only 1.
 I am new to a hospital setting (yeah!!) and find the politics and
procedures rather difficult to adjust to.  I am excited at the opportunity
that my DON has given me BUT, I want to be sure I do this correctly.  My
last request for sample hospital policies didn't result in but 1 response (
which was very good).  I could really use the help of the LCs/professionals
that have already broken the ground floor of this endeavor.
