Have had several who have done this. It would be part of the contract between the surrogate and the bio mom. Usually for a limited period of time, and the bio mom pays for the breast pump and shipping the milk.

Subject: Seeking information about surrogacy/pumping

Does anyone have information about surrogates pumping for the baby they give birth to? Induced lactation will not be an option due to prior breast cancer in the bio mother. I doubt wet-nursing will appeal to the bio parents, but I will mention it. I suppose the process would be similar to expressing/pumping for a baby in the nicu, but (if all goes well) the infant will be full-term and healthy. Hand expression would be best for collection of colostrum, right?

Any information or wisdom appreciated!!!
