Dear Friends,

I have an urgent need to find out about any trade unions that have put
language about breastfeeding into their collectively bargained agreements
with employers---anywhere in the world.

You may be the one who can help me if

a) you have a client who is a union member that knows she has nursing breaks
or a place to express milk guaranteed by her union contract;

b) you work at a hospital with unionized nurses or other staff and you
oversee the pumping facilities;

c) you run a lactation program for a company that has unionized workers;

d) you are a researcher on breastfeeding and workplace issues.

Pardon my using the easy way--Lactnet!!--to reach you all. By the way, we
ARE also asking the unions to answer our question.

Hoping to hear from you,

Chris Mulford, RN, IBCLC
working for WIC in New Jersey
Co-coordinator, WABA Women & Work Task Force
