I really need the medical backup that there is no such thing as an
"allergy" to human milk. I am aware of reactions to mom's diet, and
aware of PKU, and Galactosemia, but I know there is no such thing as an
allergy to human milk. Could someone send me any info on this, as I am
on vacation, and have none of my references. Some woman on one of my
bulletin board is telling people how her baby had some rare allergy to
BM, and that her hubby had this too. She said the baby had to be put on
formula. I am waiting for her clarification of whether this was
Galactosemia and what formula the baby was put on (ie.
Pregestimil/Nutramigen) because if she says some cow's milk based thing,
I will have to just laugh! TIA!
