Dear Friends:

Forgive me another OT post- so many of you responded
to my cry for help when I posted about 3 weeks ago
about how much I wanted to avoid a C-section. I
wanted to e-mail each of you who responded
individually, but the volume of resposes was so
overwhelming. . .

Upon your advice, I sought the services of a midwife
and was fortunate enough to find a great CNM who took
me a day before my due date. She was willing to give
me one more week than my Dr. was before a c/s. I went
into spontaneous labor 9 days after my due date and 4
days before the scheduled c/s.

I had a beautiful 8 lb. 14 oz. girl on March 25. Best
of all, I was able to nurse her while still on the
delivery table. She is a great nurser and gained 4
oz. in her first week.

Thank you to those who gave me encouragement and
advice in my desperation. I feel so blessed that my
child and I have been able to enjoy the benefits of
natural child birth. Everything that went wrong with
my first child's birth went right this time.

Thank you for being such great advocates and for
sharing your knowledge.
