Just a reminder on using gentian violet--using it for more than the
recommended 3 days for treatment of thrush can lead to ulcers on the
nipple or in the baby's mouth.  Learned this first hand a few years ago
when a doc recommended I use it for 10 days to get rid of some stubborn
yeast.
