And what was interesting to note, is that the reason for the campaign is that MI infant deaths are higher than those other developed and undeveloped countries... "Is it shocking? Is it provocative?" asked Commissioner of Health Bevan Baker. "Yes. But what is even more shocking and provocative is that 30 developing and under-developed countries have better rates than Milwaukee." (JS Online Nov. 9/2011)

where do they think the babies sleep in those other countries? I'm guessing its not in a crib beside the bed or in the other room, leastaways none of the mothers I've met from Bhutan or India or Japan or Indonesia slept separately from their infants...

Interesting the lack of critical thinking that went into this particular argument against bed sharing.. They might want to focus, instead, on educating parents about safe sleep and safe and responsible parental behavior, and on increasing exclusive breastfeeding rates ...
