my caps key is not always working, sorry.

my dad had a major stroke during a heart cath on November 23. Has a
tracheostomy, food tube in stomach, left side paralysis, arrythimia
they are controlling with meds, enlarged heart, severe atherosclerosis,
collapsing lungs, kidneys are slowing, and now a bad staph infection in
trach site, windpipe and staph pneumonia. will breastmilk be of any help to
fight the staph? He is on vancomycin and rifampin. (plus coumadin,
dopamine, lasix, reglan, prevacid and more) I keep telling every doctor that
comes in that maybe we should try breastmilk (he is on magna-cal-renal
formula) but they all just raise there eyebrows, smirk and say they have
never heard of such a thing. one nurse lowered her head and snickered into
her hand as she was writing some reports.

I know there is not much chance but wondered if there is literature or
research to give to a doctor. I am too upset to search too much. I will
give the milk bank (Mary Rose Tully, I think) a call and see what she may
know)

thank you in advance for anything anyone may know.

cheryl
