Good general question for Hale's Infant Risk Center. Be sure and share the
answer :-) Pat in SNJ
Probably a dumb question, but are there extra considerations to be taken if
a premature baby is to get milk from a medicated mother, eg drugs in Hale’s
categories L1 or L2? Ie is the preterm baby to be considered like a fetus?

What do people think of the www.safefetus.com website as a quick check for
drug use in lactation?

And one last question – is there any information on what happens to
supposedly ‘safe’ drugs when heated, as in pasteurisation?

Best wishes
Jacquie Nutt
