Important point is that fluoride was not "designed" for ingestion, but for
topical application.  There are many negative effects of ingestion,  though I
don't personally have it topically applied either.  However, the above food
items are rarely if ever found in our home except for raisins......which we
love to cook in oatmeal.  :)  The typical US diet is an excellent point on
the contribution to cavities.  Also difficult at times to explain to a mom
whose baby is exclusively breastfed about the genetically weak enamel that is
playing the role in dental caries of their infant.
