No-one I know would have time to read 5-7 pages from anyone.
1 page or less, in bullet points will be read.
I dictate very detailed discharge summaries on my long-term infants (5-10 pages).  The Peds tell me they only read the list of final diagnoses, discharge medications, and follow-up needed.  I still do it because I give a copy to the parents, in case they need to go to an ER at any time
