Thanks to everyone who responded to my question about how nursing staff respond
to these two approaches. I guess there is, for some a very big difference
between saying " breastfeeding babies have less_____" and "formula fed babies
have more______." Amazing, isn't it? I mean, really, the research info. is the
same. It's just the presentation.

I have a RN who will be in my next class per her request. This is her second
time through. Do you know what she told me? "The first time I took this I was so
upset by the information about formula fed babies that I didn't hear another
thing said all day." A shame, really. She wants to do a good job. She missed
out on a lot of good instruction. Fortunately, she is self-aware enough to want
to try again.

Susan
