I can't agree, as this promotes the idea that the "expert" can "see" if the
nipples are "within normal parameters".  To me this is the StarTrek method --
the alien attacks (problem presents) -- immediately the crew (experts) know what
reconfiguration of the warp nacells, transponder or Jeffries Tubes is required
(gadget needed, physical configuration of breast of baby's palate to blame) --
and they can zap the
difficulty.

I agree with what Cathy went on to say about making an opportunity antenatally
to
discuss concerns about feeding and about breast changes with women.  However,
why do it in the context of a *physical* examination?  If you are naked, or
partially clothed, it is usually hard to feel comfortable talking about
sensitive subjects -- especially if the person you are talking to is fully
clothed (even wearing a uniform!!!).
