Thank you everyone for your input as to weather changes and infant
behavioral changes. Especially the Aussies - you guys are sooooo
interesting and knowledgeable! Would I love to sit at your footsies for a
year and soak in.... I have found it ironic that in Israel, where it is
accepted that people are often "off" during a khamsin (hot, dry wind off
the desert with sand and dust), nobody seems to realize that babies will
be "off" too! Parents go into major snits when the baby either sleeps
extra-long periods, or seems to cry and cry all day long. Of course (why
"of course"? Sigh.), mom thinks that her milk has dried up and out comes
the bottle of formula. Here, this is a major problem, since khamsinim are
a regular weather feature, and they occur primarily during at least 2
seasons, if not 3. Aussies: is the general public in your part of the
world more aware of this problem than Israelis? How do you get this
through to them? Judy K. in Israel
