Another way to get "free" ceu's is to present. If your local hospital, VNA,
Dept of Health, ILCA affiliate or other agency is a "provider of education"
for nurses or docs they will be used to giving continuing ed credits of
various kinds. They can apply for CERPs for your presentation. You get
double credits because you did the work of providing the education (and
having to put together the presentation). So, for example, if you did a two
hour presentation based on ILCA's Clinical Guidelines for the Establishment
of Breastfeeding - you would get four hours. (You wouldn't just lift it -
you would expand and update it. But it's there for bare bones!)

And Liz and I will both say....this may be "free" monetarily speaking - but
you will be paid plenty in education! It's a real learning experience to get
your bibiliography together, put together your outline, your presentation,
and then DO it! But your learning will rise exponentially.
