How many lactnetters who are also IBCLCs have seen the new Ross Labs
brochure on breastfeeding? Written by an IBCLC with the
assistance/consultancy of others, two of whom are also IBCLCs?! I was
horrified to see this. Anyone know these individuals?

I believe this harbors more danger to the profession than donuts, though
I'll bet they ate them! I also wonder how much they got paid to do this.
Read the brochure CAREFULLY. It looks--on the surface--to be reasonable.
But if you read carefully, you will find all manner of examples of how
negatively breastfeeding i presented. Case in point: look at all the
PROBLEMS they mention with breastfeeding under the guise of "informing' the
mother. Ask yourself: If I read that while pregnant, would I WANT to
breastfeed? Food for thought--pun DEFINITELY INTENDED.

Def. of LC service: "We are all faced with a series of great opportunities
brilliantly disguised as impossible situations."
