Both my bf kiddos had reflux.  My 15 month old was treated starting at
approximately 3 weeks old with Tagamet and Propulsid.  At no time did our
pediatrician recommend taking her off breastmilk, nor did he suggest adding
solids/cereal early (although 7 years ago, that was the suggestion for my
son).  How is mom positioning baby after feeds?  I used my sling, an infant
swing or infant seat after nursing.  Gravity helps sometimes.
I would rather have my baby aspirate human milk than ABM, as I've read there
are less detrimental effects to the respiratory tract.
Both my children were off meds around 6 months old.
Tell mom good luck--these can be fussy little people.  The medications made
a big difference for us within 48 hours.
