We use the Enfacare and Neosure for some ex-premies at home NOT because of the calories, but because of the additional protein, calcium and phosphorus needed for these infants who are discharged before they are term, and have some catch-up to do. Also check out the Academy of Breastfeeding medicine protocol re post-discharge nutrition at www.bfmed.org.  It is rational way to assess who needs, and who doesn't need additional fortification post discharge.
