i must also point out that, at least in my experience with LLL in the area i
am in, that there is strict "enforcement" of what leaders may and may not
tell mothers, and thus your information should definitely come from your
professional liasion department. much of what is discussed by persons on
lactnet is "not" considered approved by LLL for leaders to give out as
advice. this apparently varies widely from area to area, but you need to know
what is expected of you as a leader.

which is why i am now a great help to my fellow leaders because i am in a
different category, and can choose what professional advice to give based on
my own beliefs and knowledge. this is not to imply that the distinctions are
wrong or bad, just that they exist, and a member of LLL who is an active
leader (i am not) needs to work within the parameters of the organization.

ps because i am not a medical student or staff member, i would have to pay
the local medical library to get articles from a journal that they do not
have. our public library does not get medical journals on inter library loan.
sometimes information costs, and it is correct to not expect to get it from
the cbi "for free" as a member of LLL, which does not provide free things
for leaders, anyway.
