Why wouldn't a slight weight drop be normal? I'm thinking of a few ounces 
in the first days after birth, not continued weight loss. If a mother's 
milk doesn't come in for 1-3 days, how is an exclusively breastfed baby 
maintaining its birth weight? I'm asking out of curiosity---I'm not trying 
to be obtuse! :-)
