Love the idea of substituting formula for smoking in the handouts
even without the research aspect.
My only suggestion is that for research purposes, perhaps you should
not include the "additional risks of formula".  This way the tone of
both will be equal.  Of course, for giving out such a pamphlet to
potential or expectant moms, the additions are probably excellent.
If you add to the formula one, people could say "The formula one
goes too far while the smoking one is OK." and you couldn't really
prove whether it's the difference in the reader's attitude toward
smoking vs formula or the fact that the formula one contains more
risks.
