I have zero experience here.   But, just thinking, it seems that the
important question for your mom is not the mean but the range.   Does Jan &
Kathy's book say where 2 standard deviations falls?   or does it cite the
source of their number, which in turn might provide the answer?

Or does anyone out there in lactnet world actually happen to know?
