I have a mom gr 2 para 1 who is on day 6 and still not much of a milk supply.  She called the hospital over the weekend and was told to use formula, so had given up nursing and was only pumping with her hand pump a few times a day.  Today we got the baby on very easily with an SNS, and expressed transitional looking milk from her breasts.  The breasts are somewhat lumpy, and hopefully milk supply will come in tomorrow.   Anyone else have a situation like this?  Delayed lactogenesis due to the gastric bypass?   Michelle Scott, MA,RD,IBCLC in NH
