 Patricia:  I've been NOMAIL for 3+ weeks so forgive me if I'm missing the
proverbial boat.  Your suggestion regarding the itchy mouth sound right on
the money.  I know that yeast is a big cause of this (for weeks to months
after "visible cure.")  Personally, I'd go by sensory assessment of cure.
Anyway, you mentioned allergies too.  Cows-milk protein and soy should be
checked and also consider the possibility that this baby is actually
ALLERGIC TO YEAST.  These babies have a zero tolerance for yeast growth.
