From Wendey in Montreal:
"why can't the discharge pack
issue be fought on "why would she need that, she's breastfeeding?". Like
why would you send home circumcision care info with parents of a girl, or
an intact boy? Why would you send c-section care info home with a mom who
had a vaginal birth or episiotomy care info home with a mom who had a
c-section?"

That's exactly how the hospital where I used to work finally got the formula
junk out! And you wouldn't believe how long it too (several years), because
we (a couple of RNs who volunteered for the job) had to write it in our
copious spare time (no computers, either!), and the peds & OBs had to
approve every word. Took them years - they couldn't agree amongst themselves
to save their lives! But it got done! YAY!
