Hello Nova,

I'm glad you have taken this project on. The more approaches from as
many different angles as we can have, the better. I agree with you
about starting in schools (maybe elementary, not middle) and discussing
it as a normal part of how the human body functions, just like kids
learn how our heart works and our lungs work, would be wonderful.

I do disagree with you somewhat when you state that "breastfeeding is
about breastmilk and is not really anti-bottle." Yes, it's better for a
baby to have breastmilk in a bottle than to have formula in a bottle.
And yes, some women have hangups about their breasts and don't want to
put the baby to the breast but will pump their milk and provide it in a
bottle. But that isn't really what it is about. Breastfeeding is a
process that is a natural part of mothering. Unless there is new
information out there that I'm unaware of, most people know that
breastmilk is the best thing for a baby, but that doesn't necessarily
mean they will breast feed. There are so many other cultural barriers in
this society that need to be addressed.

Glad you are thinking this through and hope to hear more of your
thoughts and whether you are doing some kind of research project or
paper.
