You can say that about Lactation Consultants, Nurses, Social Workers, or
anyone in the "helping" fields...  I remember working in a clinic in St.
Louis and walking my teenagers through it to remind the young staff
(weren't old enough to have teens themselves) that there WERE teens out
there NOT on drugs, NOT pregnant, and going to school!

In my job as an LC, I usually see the problems - and crises.  In Puerto
Rico, as we also had equipment for sale, moms would stop by when returning
to work to show off their beautiful, healthy babies.  It was a great
"upper".  I also had support groups, but often moms who came were having
problems, so they were almost "solve my problem if you can" meetings.

We DO need reminders of the normal - wherever we can get it, La Leche
League meetings, neighbors, or New Beginnings....
