   birthing is a lot of work/ for mothers and for babies...

   I am a distance runner... although it may seen contrary  after I run I
really don't want to eat...

    I think that it may be similar for the infant... the work and exersion
leads not to HUNGER but rather a small amount of high powered  colostrum...
