I have a friend of mine who is also an IBCLC (she'll kill me if I say her name) who uses a digital scale made for pets. I tried it and it was accurate. So, yes, in my opinion, these can be used too. Hers went up to 66 pounds. If I hadnt known, there is no way I could tell it was a pet scale. We all laughed it off.
