Just this weekend worked with an SNS and mom of 4 month old - she has not
nursed for 2 months. Baby drains 5 oz of alimentum in 10 minutes - so no
interest in the breast. She has been doing skin to skin, not doing
co-bathing although suggested by me, and has been double pumping for a week
and on reglan since the weekend with no appreciable mik yet. Baby is so big,
alert and vigorous and happy, he immediately ripped the tape off the SNS and
bit mom hard! Not a stellar beginning. We tried to finger feed with the SNS
and baby just screamed - any suggestions? I may post on this one!
