This material from a MAJOR HMO has been around for years. I have met with two
medical vice presidents about it four years ago.  They said "You don't like
it?  Join the crowd!"  They had heard a lot of flack about it, but hadn't
taken the time to read it.  I gave them my highlighted and annotated copy,
and their response was "...we can do better than this".  Still waiting.  I
started a letter writing campaign via our local ILCA affiliate.  Someonw sent
a copy to Marsha Walker who sent them a letter.  You can imagine it's
content.  I am currently renting a pump to a nurse who is high up in the
education department of this co. and discussed with her.  I plan to write to
her as well and offer to edit and/or advise on revision.  Now, this HMO has
been purchased by an even bigger insurance co.  I don't know what implact
this will have on proposed changes.  I am hopeful (and maybe naive).  I have
always had much more LC support from the buying co. than from this HMO.
