I read this book a while ago and seem to recall finding the approach
relatively gentle.  I'm sure it does not suggest that mother turn her back
on a crying infant.  I also do not remember it suggesting spacing
breastfeeding in the day.  I guess each person may read, interpret and
remember different points from a book depending on your starting point?
