Hi, all: In New Jersey, two bills have been introduced, both very
similar and stating that breastfeeding mothers have the right to feed
their babies anywhere. The New Jersey Breastfeeding Task Force wrote to
the assemblyman and assemblywoman who introduced them, congratulating
them on the bills and suggesting a few changes in wording, especially the
word infant, because it implied that only women breastfeeding infants
would be protected. We have not heard back, nor have we been assured
that the bill will be going up for debate any time soon. If anyone has
any good ideas on how to get bills moving through state legislatures,
they would be much appreciated. Alicia. [log in to unmask]
