I am p hilosophically opposed to calling it fibrocystic breast *disease*
when it reflects hormonal changes, etc. Since when is that a disease?

Anyway, as a non-MD, I wanted also to share that several women with whom I
have worked with a Hx of cysts have reported that some but not all cysts
can result in reather significant breast pain when breastfeeding,
particularly in the early weeks and months when milk production is a)
climbing, and/or b) quite variable as reflects the many changes in baby
suckling patterns [ie. non-stop nursing one day and sleeping a lot thenext,
as well as during appetite spurts].

I have attempted to explain this by suggesting that placement of a cyst
near a duct may impede easy movement of milk down the breast.

Was I correct in this explanation? What might be more accurate?

ANyone else hear of such stuff from moms? (By the way, this has not meant
the mothers weaned early.)
