I think that is sad so many of our children get that
at school, it says a lot for how our schools are teaching our future ( the
kids)

Personal note... My daughter got a new doll from my
mom at a family gathering, she was 5 years old at the time. She played with
the doll all evening and much to my delight, (and I am sure to some people's
astonishment) She would occasionally lift her shirt to place the doll on
her breast to nurse. When one of my relatives asked what she was doing, she
replied, " she's hungry." She had this look on her face, as if that was a
really stupid question, and her tone was very duhh! The person then asked
her where her baby bottle was and my daughter said that she doesn't have
any, ( truly I don't think she even knew they made them ). She talked more
about the things I let them play with and stuff they have and then added,
"yeah and we can't have toy guns either". I thought that was hysterical!

Subject: Baby Think it over program

I just saw an article in our local school
district newsletter on the new
"Baby think it over" program. I've seen
this product in magazines...the
problem of course, is that the article was
very specific that the kids
carried all the things they needed for
carring for the baby, including
                                bottles, pacifyers, formula....AHRGGGGG as
they say...of all the places to
promote bottle feeding...a young teens class
on parenting. I had to
restrain myself from sending my post to the
teacher in all CAPS, I was so
mad. Any of you know if this doll has any
mention of breastfeeding in it's
program.....All you'd have to do is have it
quietly cuddle whenever mother
                                held the baby.
