But Pat, you are not seriously suggesting women need to be told this
sorta thing in a booklet to help them bf, are you???!!!

No, I didn't think you were!

Dear oh dear, I am so tired of all the rules about bf, what you can
do, what you ought to do, what you're not allowed to do/drink/take.
The anxiety this creates is very worrisome.

I mean, if I need to empty my bladder, I just do the appropriate
thing in the appropriate place. Can we not trust women to respond to
the most basic needs of their bodies without having it written down
for them? It is infantilising mothers to treat them like this : (

I was also slightly concerned that some women might think the urine
remaining in their body might affect the milk in some way, and that
this might be what they interpret as the reasoning behind the advice.
There was nothing about full bladder and uterine contractions.
