It is my experience also that you cannot make any assumptions about women with PCOS.  Just as you can't make assumptions about the woman with widely spaced breasts or the woman with a history of breast sugery.  
I am sorry that your hospital is cutting the Breastfeeding and Post Partum follow up clinic.  It indeed makes no sense at all.
