The baby can be circumcised at *any* bilirubin level.  It is because
the moyles (traditional circumcisers) also live in a bottle mentality
that they think the jaundice is abnormal.  If I understand the
problem, a circumcision is not to be done on a child which is not
normal.  Therefore, they want the bilirubin to go to too low levels.
They have it wrong. I can hardly wait to get the flack on this
statement.

It is possible that there is concern about a jaundiced baby who has
liver disease and thus might bleed.  But this is a different kettle of
fish.
