Hi Jacqui,
It's so hard and painful when powerful people a.k.a. health experts tell us we are not doing enough to feed our children. It hits at the core of motherhood.
You're an experienced mother. Heck, you're one of the the wise women of lactnet - I've followed your posts with interest.
A biopsy for celiac disease? Sounds rather interventionist at this point, but you know that. Likely you'll feel like you need more convincing to go this route. In the meantime, I concur with the earlier post re: WHO growth charts. How reliable were the two weights? A pattern over more time, with close assessment, same scale, etc . . . would be more convincing that there is even an issue here.
Try and get ahold of a copy of Dr. Carlos Gonzalez' "My Child Won't Eat" published by LLLI.
Best wishes and keep us posted.
Warmly,
Tina Revai
