Amy, could you list or get pictures of items you could buy with the money
saved in a year by not buying formula? Wouldn't this sound more impressive
than one month? At least do it for 6 months and thus highlight the
importance of exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months.

Firstly work out the costs for a year (or the period you choose) - formula,
sterilizer, bottles/teats (check these in your local store), extra doctors'
bills, future orthodontry [have your references from Brian Palmer handy!],
less days off work for mom tending sick baby.

That's going to be worth a lot more than $1200 per year. Wasn't there a
figure somewhere that the extra medical bills are usually equivalent to the
cost of the formula? I'm sorry that I don't have this reference.

Say the total figure comes to $2500 per year - list or get pictures of what
that would cover in your area: eg a major appliance or two; X many years
worth of diapers or outfits or music lessons; the basic investment for
future college education.....

You could have real fun with this poster.

Best wishes
Jacquie Nutt
