It took 6 days for my milk to come in, so yes, it can still happen.  I
had faith in my body, and support from a friend who is lurking here.
I sometimes have a difficult relationship with food, but am willing to
sit down with a glass of milk and a tube of Oreos if nothing else is
appealing.  I am by no means skinny, though.

Encourage her to trust her body whilst doing what you can to increase
her supply.  She does indeed sound like a fragile person- is her
partner supportive?  Or other family and friends?    praise those
drops of milk and colostrum.
