Dear Friends,

I am looking for a specific breastfeeding promotional item to give nursing
staff to replace what the formula company gives for "free." My daughter
recently delivered a beautiful baby boy at 34.5 wks at a small community hosp (a long
story to be shared perhaps later when I'm not sleep deprived) and I want to
give the staff a thank you with a loud and clear message. One nurse was
wearing a large pen with formula company info on it that attached to her shirt with
a pin (or clip) and was retractable by a tiny chain. I hope this is clear
description. I have searched sites and catalogues (Noodle Soup, Childbirth
Graphics, Linda Smith's) for something similar but can't find it. Just thought I'd
ask if anyone knows of such an item with breastfeeding promotion? Noodle
Soup has a lanyard and does have pens but how clever of the formula company to
make something so practical that becomes a walking advertisement.

Aside: Beloved Cathy Genna was seeing my daughter and she's the one who
noticed the pen on the nurse and commented appropriately (perhaps, the pen will be
discarded? hope so...)

Thank you.
Barbara Latterner, BSN, RN, IBCLC
