Here in Spain it is normal to use olive oil in al foods, including baby food. The standard pediatrician advice here is to begin solids at six months, with vegetable puree in which they always recomend a teaspoon of raw olive oil. By raw they mean that you should not cook the veggies with the oil, just add it to the puree afterwards. Part of a healthy mediterranean diet and standard practice here. And we are one of the european countries with less cardiovascular and obesity problems in adulthood, althoug unfortunately this is changing due to the fast food
invasion.

About weaning due to contractions... I did not nurse today and Laura did not ask me, we just got up and played. I havenīt made up my mind all the way to wean, I think if she asks me for it I will nurse her... this is difficult!!!
